Nowadays technology makes the human's life easier and up-to-date. For example, although now me at Tanjung Malim, Perak, I am able to know that one horror accident was happened at my hometown through technology such as internet and television. Government use technology as channel to inform people with the latest news. Below is news about accident occurred in my hometown:
Tatau Express Boat Tragedy: 4 bodies found, 11 discharged many still missing
Four bodies have been recovered from the scene of fatal express boat and barge collision on Tatau River about 50km from Bintulu on Monday.
11 survivors including a school teacher from SK. Rumah Keseng, Kakus managed to free themselves from the fast sinking boat and rescued by nearby longhouse people.
The victims were then immediately treated at Bintulu General Hospital and all were discharged by 10pm Monday night.
Jekson Ukit, 39 and his family members. They were among the 17 survivors of Tatau river express boat tragedy discharged by Bintulu General Hospital on Monday night.
“Bintulu Hospital treated several survivors who suffered minor injuries and by 10pm we had discharged 11 of them,” said Dr Azlee Ayub, Director of Bintulu General Hospital.
Among the 11 survivors treated at the Bintulu General Hospital are Zamhari Azmi, 39, Chai Ngim Fat, 39, Mohamad Dol, 44, Elizabert Ang Dian, 28, Enes Oliver Suping, two, Hellena Mena, Jekson Ukit, 39, Silvia Jakson Kassim, one, Emilia Jekson, one, Lio Jok, 50, and Dayang Rezalina, 27. About the course
In my opinion, the model of Engage, Empower and Enhance increase the students understanding when doing experiment. The catchy title of this model attracts the students to know more about the experiment. Engage is the technique used to get the ideas of student through the related picture, situation with same concept of the title of the experiment and some questions. Compare to traditional method of conducting experiment, students can think more advances and understand the concept the scientific theory that represent by situation used in Engage.
Empower is planning and do the experiment by showing the picture on how experiment being conducted. Empower also include part of result and discussion with the question regarding the experiment that being conduct. By this, student can get the image on how to conduct the experiment.
Enhance is use the situation of real routine life that enable student to relate the concept of experiment n real life. For example, in the topic heart rate, Enhance can be including the situation of before and after playing badminton, ask student on the differences in their heart rate.
One of the reasons why I think the model of Engage, Empower and Enhance is this model use data logging to record the result. For experiment that need longer time to show the result, we can use the data logging. We just only have to connect the sensor of data logging to computer to record the reading. But there are some difficulties when implementing this model. Data logging is very sensitive and easily run error.
In my course, ICT in Biology, we have presented an experiment on data logging, simulation and modeling. From there I realize that data logging, simulation and modeling have more advantages compare to traditional way of conducting experiment. Students will gain more knowledge. For example, by use data logging, simulation and modeling the experiment can be repeated, paused and stop at any time. Last time, students only depend on textbook.
But there are some problems in integrating the use of data logging, simulation and modeling in the classroom. One of it is teacher think that use data logging, simulation and modeling in their experiment is troublesome and wasting time as many of them do not know how to use it. Besides, student themselves don’t want to explore the advantages of data logging, simulation and modeling in experiment and prefer use the traditional method. Next, not all experiments are suitable using this data logging, simulation and modeling method. The students will loss interesting.
Hence, the mind of these teacher and student should be changed for better learning process. Teacher should be more expose to the use of data logging, simulation and modeling in teaching. Then, use more experiment using data logging, simulation and modeling so the student can realize that this method is easier to understand.

Tecnology In My Classroom!!
Technology in My Classroom? Yikes!
View more presentations from jgerst1111.
Most teachers do not like to use technology as teaching apparatus. This is because some of them didn’t know how to use computer and they think it is wasting time. Hence they rather use the old method to teach students which is only use textbook.
Actually using technology in classroom is better ways to teach student in term to improve their understanding and knowledge.
How to integrate technology:
1. Research
2. Creating a website

My Teaching Philosophy
Education should be fit for every child in this world, not only for richer and genius. This is because education is not only to teach our children to become successful in life but also a useful person in this society. We as teacher have the responsibility to ensure all the children have the changes to get education and their life based on morality. No one should be less for this change even the poorer or disable.
To reach this goal, we must have a good infrastructure and facilities like computer, lab and learning environment classroom. As a teacher, I have determined to take responsibilities to educate, motivate and ensure all the children do not miss their education.

My life quotation
"Experience is the name every one gives to their mistakes"-Oscar Wilde
Oscar Fingal O'Flahertie Wills Wilde (16 October 1854 – 30 November 1900) was an Irish writer, poet, and prominent aesthete; who, after writing in different forms throughout the 1880s, became one of London's most popular playwrights in the early 1890s. Today he is remembered for his epigrams, plays and the tragedy of his imprisonment and early death.

Issues and Challenges in Integrating ICT in Teaching and Learning
Nowadays ICT have been the most used and important apparatus in teaching process. But there are some problems and challenges that limit the uses of ICT. In my opinion, the most important challenges in integrating ICT in teaching and learning are have not enough technological infrastructure. Our country has limitation of infrastructure such as computers, ICT labs and low connection to access internet especially in rural area. There a number of schools have not enough computer lab and computer for every student. Even in smart school, the ICT equipments also not complete and always faced the problems of lacking computer or latest ICT software. Compare to other developing countries which have excellent infrastructure and total application on ICT, our country really a few steps behind. Besides that, all the infrastructure and application of ICT are only being concentrated at urban area especially big town such as Kuala Lumpur. This is not fair because only the people in urban area can enjoy the facilities of ICT while people in rural area just get the information through traditional way such as text book and explanation by teachers. How can ICT be integrating in teaching and learning if only students from urban area able to use this modern apparatus? Students from rural area cannot apply the knowledge of ICT due to lack of computer and lab in their school. Moreover, get access to internet and computer is basic way to learn ICT. More money are spent to build big and beautiful building rather than built a well-equip computer lab or supply enough computer to all school.
Next, some teachers not well know about ICT and make them do not apply it properly when teach the students. Teachers do not alert with development in ICT usage and stay only with little knowledge about technology. They also have no initiative to go for ICT training and choose to stay know nothing about it. So some teachers will only use computer lab and computer for very several times in their teaching process. For example, twice a month or once a month. Some teachers are afraid to use the latest technology such as smart board and educational TV in teaching and learning for students. They feel this is troublesome and will be shamed if there are student know better than them in the ICT. So the teacher keen to use the traditional ways such as white board and text book in their teaching process. As a result, their students also afraid and thinks it will be easier to just use text book in the process to learn something new. The students will not used to application of ICT and their mind continues reject the uses of ICT. Until they are in university, there will be more difficult to teach them with uses of ICT as the students already set in their mind that ICT is bored and useless thing to learn. Hence, teacher has to make sure there are maximum and effective uses of ICT by students in case to integrating ICT in teaching and learning. Teachers should continuously upgrade their knowledge and keep alert with latest ICT application or software as a preparation to teach the students.

IBU KANDUNG SULUH BUDIMAN
Ibu Kandung Suluh Budiman
Obor Di malam Gelap
Bina Budi Penyebar Tekad
Pancaran Semangat Waja
Ibu Kandung Suluh Budiman
Ibu Pujaan Kami
Yang Berjasa Pada Masyarakat
Hidup Gagah Berani
Ibu Kandung Suluh Budiman
Dengarlah Sumpah
Sumbangsih Nan Suci
Selagi Hayat Dikandung Badan
Kami Tetap Berbakti
30 Hours Famine Camp-Light Up Their Life !
The 30-Hour Famine 2010 is a global movement against hunger and poverty under World Vision. Participants go without food for 30 hours and get a glimpse of the dire conditions that children and families in need endure everyday.
We also raise funds, transforming our hunger into hope for children and families in need. The Famine aims to inspire and empower ordinary people to care for those in need, both locally and globally.
The slogan for the 30-Hour Famine this year is “Light Up Their Life!” (“为孩子打造无贫城市”) for beneath the city’s bright lights, living can be frightfully dark, but we can make a difference if we …
•Get involved: Take a stand against poverty.
•Get educated: Learn about the world's big issues - and teach others about them.
•Get talking: Help us spread the word!
•Get funding: Raise funds - and give hope to those in need.
•Get into leadership: Step up to the plate and inspire others

3d model - Epithelium cells
This 3d model is one of our projects under Animal Morphology & Histology course. Our group have chosen to make 3d model of epithelium cells. This is because there are two types of epithelium cells with different form. Many students have difficulty in distinguish the type of epithelium cells.
Epithelium is a tissue composed of cells that line the cavities and surfaces of structures throughout the body. Many glands are also formed from epithelial tissue. It lies on top of connective tissue, and the two layers are separated by a basement membrane. In humans, epithelium is classified as a primary body tissue, the other ones being connective tissue, muscle tissue and nervous tissue.
Functions of epithelial cells include secretion, selective absorption, protection, transcellular transport and detection of sensation. As a result, they commonly present extensive apical-basolateral polarity (e.g. different membrane proteins expressed) and specialization.
Epithelial tissue can be divided into two groups depending on the number of layers of which it is composes. Epithelial tissue which is only one cell thick is known as simple epithelium. If it is two or more cells thick such as the skin, it is known as stratified epithelium.

Ticks and mites
This education toolkit is one of my Biodiversity & Evolution of Protista & Animalia projects. We were given topic on ticks and mites. My group members and I decided to go to UPM and interview their lecturer, Professor Madya Dr. Shaik Mohamed Amin Babjee. The pictures shown are result from his research.
Ticks and mites are belonging to Acarina. The diversity of the Acari is extraordinary and its fossil history goes back to at least the early Devonian period. Ticks and mites have a segmented body with the segments organised into two tagmata that are prosoma (cephalothorax) and a opisthosoma ( abdomen). An adult ticks and mites have four pairs of legs (nymphal stage) while young ticks and mites have three pairs of legs (larval stage). The mouth parts consists of chelicerae, pedipalp and hypostome may be adapted for biting, stinging, sawing or sucking. They live in practically every habitat include aquatic (freshwater and seawater) and terrestrial species. Many are parasitic. They never have antennae.
